The core concept “back to the future” builds a symbolic bridge between the Ancient Romans’ knowledge on the use of water and the intricacy of the challenges posed by the future: sustainable development and the environment.
When the Italian Association of Hydrogeologists, together with FAO and UNESCO, tasked us with the organization of AQUA 2015, we immediately realized that we’d have to put into play not just our professional skills, but our great passion for this crucial topic, the environment, as well.
We planned, designed, organized and monitored all services and professional figures necessary to manage 44 scientific sessions and over 900 participants enrolled in the 5-day event, which also included dinner parties, tours and side activities for attendees and their escorts. All our departments were involved: travel unit, organizational office, design and setup, creativity, web and social media.
Our catering choices were also made in the spirit of sustainability, thanks to our participation in projects that aim to reduce/reuse food surpluses.
